For me it's a toss up between 2 and 4. I went with 4 in the end for the sheer verticality of it. Loved climbing up the cliffs with the grapnel.

My favorite Far Cry hot take is that a properly-executed remake/remaster of Far Cry 2 would be the best game in the series.

It’s already the most serious, mature entry, with some gameplay tweaks and polish it could be the best, hands down.

I agree. I'd even keep the weapon degradation and the malaria. For me, the only thing which lets it down is the constantly respawning baddies at outposts and the like.
