Unfortunately no one outside of China will get to play it, since they've announced that the Chinese consoles will be region locked. Chinese games won't work on anything but a Chinese console, and other regions' games won't work on it. So much for X1 being region free. I guess China couldn't have that though, then they wouldn't have total control over what their people see, hear, read...

So I can import a Chinese X1 and then the games though? Same old same old.

That depends if they'll allow the games and consoles to be exported, or you can buy them from an outside source like play-asia. Still lame, since it means buying another console, which everyone was led to believe would not happen when they promised region free consoles.

Do we have confirmation that Chinese games won't work on one of our consoles? I can understand why China wants their consoles locked so they can't play our games.

Maybe I'll wait until AF 2016 to play these Chinese games...

Here's one of the articles I read, says quite clearly Chinese games won't play on an thing but a Chinese console (and vice versa).
