Trying to avoid spoilers here so I’ll keep it vague.

There is a point where Guybrush and another character find themselves suspended over a bubbling cauldron of unpleasantness. Rather than embarking on a daring escape like you’re supposed to, simply do nothing until [something bad] happens and the achievement unlocks.

I have heard this achievement can glitch out on you if your controller turns off due to inactivity, so depending on your settings you may want to wiggle the sticks once or twice while you wait to prevent that. As long as you don’t go clicking on anything you’ll still be on track to unlock the achievement.
